Pao-Chieh Tseng   FLUTE

Pao-Chieh Tseng, native of Taiwan, is a 2-time winner of the National Young Artist Competition in Taiwan and made her CD debut at the age of 19. Mrs. Tseng received her Bachelor's degree in flute performance from Aaron Copland School of Music, and Master's degree from Cleveland Institute of Music where she studied with Joshua Smith. While in Cleveland, she had the opportunity to participate in several performances under the direction of Michael Tilson Thomas. Mrs. Tseng has also studied with Doriot A. Dwyer and Jan Vinci. Mrs. Tseng taught at New Jersey Workshop for the Arts and Skidmore Summer Flute Institute. Other career highlights included a solo performance with the Queens College Chamber Ensemble and a solo performance at Kennedy Center; she also played with the Bronx Symphony and various chamber ensembles in New Jersey. Currently, Mrs. Tseng freelances in the tri-state area, and she also maintains a private studio in Haworth NJ.
