ELIZABETH ZOOK   VIOLIN

Elizabeth Zook is a performer and teaching artist based in Spring Valley, NY. She has studied the violin since elementary school and deeply appreciates all musical genres. After earning a Bachelor of Music from Temple University in Violin Performance (2011), she spent time freelancing as a member of many varied ensembles in the Philadelphia area. Teaching strings in Philadelphia greatly influenced her decision to pursue a Masters of the Arts in Music Education from Teacher's College at Columbia University (2015). After graduating from Teacher's College she taught elementary school music at PS 169 in Brooklyn in addition to her own private violin studio lessons. Ms. Zook is currently the orchestra director at South Orangetown Middle School, where she loves helping her students discover and cultivate their identities as musicians.
