MADELEINE GOLZ   CELLO

Madeleine Golz is a chamber musician and recitalist and has participated in numerous music festivals, both in the United States and Europe. She served as a member of the artist faculty of the Brevard Music Center in North Carolina for many years and, as a member of the Golz Duo with pianist sister Evelyn, she frequently presented recitals both in the New York area and on the West Coast. She is a founding member of the Zanoli String Trio, in residence at New Jersey City University. Ms. Golz is currently on the faculty of the Manhattan School of Music, where she received her BM and MM degrees, the Thurnauer School of Music in Tenafly, NJ and the New Jersey City University. Her students have been featured on Sesame Street and the Nickelodeon Network, have won many prizes in local, national and international competitions and a number of them have now gone on to have successful careers in music. Her own teachers include Peter and Gabor Rejto, Ardyth Alton and Scott Ballantyne.
