MARJI DANILOW   DOUBLE BASS

Marji Danilow is Associate Principal Bass of the New York City Ballet Orchestra and performs regularly with the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra. As chamber artist, Ms. Danilow has played at the Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival from 1991-2012, where she collaborated with members of the Orion, Guarneri and Shanghai Quartets and Pinchas Zukerman, to name just a few. Featured on numerous recordings with the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra over a 20 year span, she has also recorded with Anner Bylsma and L’Archibudelli for Sony Classical, including Schubert’s Trout Quintet and Octet and the Dvorak Quintet. Ms. Danilow is on the double bass faculty at the Mannes College of Music.
