MARIA VINCELETTE WOODWINDS
Maria Vincelette is a NYC/NJ based woodwind doubler currently completing her MM in Woodwind Doubling at Montclair State University where she was the Graduate Assistant of Bands in 2023 and the Pit Orchestra Manager for theater productions in 2024. She graduated Ithaca College in 2022 with a B.M. in Clarinet Performance with a Jazz Concentration, and a Minor in Business Administration and Management. She has had the pleasure to perform on the Broadway National Tours of Dr. Seuss’ How The Grinch Stole Christmas as the Reed 2 chair, and as a Reed 2 sub on Mean Girls. Maria has been able to work for many professional theater companies including The Palace Theater Company (Manchester, NH), The Hangar Theater Company (Ithaca, NY) and College Light Opera Company (Falmouth, MA). Outside of theater, Maria enjoys playing in professional chamber ensembles, orchestras and pop/funk bands.
Her performance experience has ranged in a variety of styles and makeups from big bands to opera orchestras and everything in between. Alongside her performance endeavors, Maria enjoys teaching private students of all ages and abilities. She continues to strive in advocating for music education and engagement within the public school system for students, as well as communities of undergrad and postgrad young professionals. Maria has been an active teacher in the public education system for secondary education since 2020 and has been a member and intern with the Women and Jazz Organization (WIJO) 2021-2023, and Maestra Mentorship Program 2023, both of which geared efforts for college and young adult musicians. Maria is excited to work with these wonderful young musicians and this great team!
