BridgeMusik Summer Festival: Student Residency with the Mostly Mozart Festival Orchestra at Lincoln Center

August 1-7, 2021

As part of Lincoln Center's ReSTART STAGES, BridgeMusik students participated in open rehearsals and Pop Up performances with the Mostly Mozart Festival Orchestra (MMFO) this summer. Students perform Mendelssohn’s Octet, Mozart’s First Symphony, as well as the world premiere of the Caribbean Twinkle. The week of activities culminated with a concert in Damrosch Park featuring Louis Langrée conducting Mozart’s first and final symphonies with the MMFO and several of the students.

All programs were free and presented as part of Restart Stages, the outdoor performing arts center constructed on Lincoln Center’s campus to champion the revival of New York City.

 

ReStart Rockland Arts Festival: BridgeMusik Celebrates the 4th!

We had an unforgettable musical experience this past week celebrating with BridgeMusik and friends both the Fourth🇺🇸 as well as incredible beauty of American music!
The list of people and organizations that made it possible is long but we just want to mention a few who made it all possible: Shirley Crabbe, Jazz Vocalist, Majella Maltempi , Beata Moon, Tara Simoncic, all 13 incredible Appalachian Spring colleagues, BridgeMusik young artists and our production assistants.
BridgeMusik Celebrates the Fourth Concert and our entire BridgeMusik Restart Rockland Arts 2021 Concert Series was made possible with generous support of the Music Performance Trust Fund in partnership with American Federation of Musicians Local 238-291, the DeWint House in Tappan (Courtesy of the Trustees of the Masonic Hall and Asylum Fund), Orange and Rockland's (O&R's) Community Investment Program, Tappantown Historical Society and BridgeMusik's individual supporters🙏🙏🙏
We were able to live-stream the concert and reach audiences across many miles!

BridgeMusik Virtual Academy SPRING 2021

January 20 - April 17, 2021

BridgeMusik Virtual Academy is going fantastically! The students are enrolled in 4 classes: Performance, Discovering Music History and Theory, Virtual Ensemble and Young Composer and Multimedia
We've had some wonderful special guests including:
Melissa White (violin)
Wendy Law (cello)
Tara Helen O’Connor (flute)
We've commissioned our terrific composer-in-residence Beata Moon to write a piece for the students of our Virtual Ensemble and we will be premiering the video on Youtube on Saturday, April 10!
