SARAH BISH   CELLO

Cellist Sarah Bish made her solo debut in 2008, performing with Hudson Valley Philharmonic after winning first prize in the Virtuoso-in-Progress Concerto Competition. Sarah has performed at festivals such as the June in Buffalo Performance Institute for New Music, the Chautauqua Institution and Tafelmusik Baroque Summer Institute. She is an alumni of Perlman Music Program Chamber Music Workshop. Sarah holds a Bachelor of Music degree in cello performance from Cleveland Institute of Music and a master’s degree in cello performance from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst, where she was the cello studio teaching assistant to Astrid Schween. She is pursuing a Doctorate of Music Arts degree at Rutgers University, studying with Jonathan Spitz and serving as a co-adjunct. Sarah is the chair of the cello department at Thurnauer School of Music in Tenafly, New Jersey and on faculty at Silver Music School in New York City and Luzerne Music Center during the summer. She resides in Fort Lee, New Jersey.
